The Waynflete Singers are widely acclaimed as one of England's finest choral societies, renowned for their versatility, inspired programming, the commissioning of new music and exceptionally high standards of performance.
A Waynflete Singers' concert is a memorable experience, whether staged in a modern concert hall or in the ancient splendour of Winchester Cathedral, the Singers' spiritual home.
Our funding challenge
Promoting first class concerts is an increasingly expensive undertaking. Ticket sales alone do not cover all the overheads, which include the expenses of hiring an orchestra and soloists, hiring the Cathedral and marketing costs.
How you can help
You can help by becoming a Friend of The Waynflete Singers. Our Friends scheme plays a critical role in helping to bridge the funding gap.
The cost and the benefits
Friends membership subscriptions for our 2016/17 season are:-
- Gold membership: £220
- Silver membership: £110
- Bronze membership: £45
Benefits for all Friends are:
- Priority booking for all Waynflete Singers promoted concerts
- A free concert programme for the above
- A pre-concert talk and drinks reception before one of the Waynflete seasons Cathedral concerts
- The opportunity to attend the Choirs AGM, special rehearsals, Come and Sing events and choral workshops
- Occasional bulletins
- Choice of specific seats (up to a maximum of two) for the Waynflete Singers Cathedral concerts
- Free tickets for Waynflete sponsored con-certs outside Winchester (excluding con-certs in London)
- Personal acknowledgement on Waynflete headed notepaper
