About this Event

The Waynflete Singers perform Handel's perennial crowd-pleasing oratorio, 'Messiah'. Written in 1741, when Handel decided to abandon composition of Italian operas and to focus instead on works in English based on biblical texts, the potent mix of tuneful arias and rousing choruses has proved irresistible to singers and audiences ever since. The performance will feature some outstanding soloists and will be accompanied by regular partners Florilegium; their peerless baroque music credentials, guided by Andrew Lumsden, will ensure that this is one of the highlights of the festive season.

This concert is sponsored by JM Finn Wealth Managers.
